Mubasher: The All-Share Market of Boursa Kuwait edged down by 0.15% at the end of Monday’s trading session, to close at the level of 5,766.9 points after losing 8.5 points. Similarly, the Main and Premier indices were down by 0.11% and 0.25%, respectively.
The bourse’s turnover fell by 19.8% to KWD 19.54 million on Monday from KWD 24.37 million a day earlier.
The trading volume decreased by 67% to 146.35 million shares from 156.74 million.
The oil and gas sector headed seven fallers with 1.56%, while the consumer services sector led four risers with 2.09%.
Equipment Holding came on top of the decliners with 11.48%, whereas IFA Hotels and Resorts topped the gainers with 8.83%.
Heavy Engineering Industries and Shipbuilding (HEISCO) logged the highest liquidity of KWD 3.09 million, the stock inched down 0.74%, while Abyaar Real Estate Development was the most active stock with 29.56 million traded shares, the stock decreased 8.06%.
The All-Share Index is expected to reach the support level of 5,719 points and the main strong support level of 5,700 points if it succeeded to exceed the support level of 5,738 points that it is currently facing, capital market analyst Yacoub Al Mashaan told Mubasher.
The index is projected to move to the levels of 5,814 points, 5,833 points, and 5,852 points, respectively, after exceeding the first resistance level of 5,795 points, he concluded.
