Kuwait-Mubasher: The Kuwaiti bourse recorded on Tuesday the first collective rise since the beginning of 2016.
The price index inched 0.59% or 29.57 points up to close at 5,084.21 points; the weighted index gained 0.68% or 2.31 points to reach 342.30 points, and Kuwait-15 rose by 6.60 points to 797.09 points.
Liquidity soared by 39.7% to KWD 16.78 million, as trading volume increased by 50.8% to 181.94 million shares. The banks sector topped the gainers as it grew 1.48%, followed by financial services and basic materials which rose by 1.16% and 0.83% respectively.
The health care sector led the decliners after decreasing 0.48%.
Manazel was the top winner by gaining 12.1%, while Marakez headed the losers with a 12.2% drop.
