Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait settled lower at the end of Thursday’s trading session for the second consecutive day.
The Premier, Main, and BK 50 indices fell by 0.93%, 0.86%, and 0.1%, respectively, while the All-Share Market index dropped by 0.93%.
Turnover shrank by 12.9% to reach KWD 36.95 million from KWD 42.4 million in the previous session, while trading volume plunged by 24% to 135.92 million shares, compared to 178.78 million shares traded on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, all the market sector registered losses, led by the oil and gas segment that fell by 4.88%, followed by consumer services with 3.05%.
The National Consumer Holding Company (NCHC) was the top declining stock and lost 36.5%, whereas IFA Hotels and Resorts topped the gainers and surged by 9.58%.
The National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) hit the largest turnover of KWD 8.18 million and closed down by 0.21%.
Ahli United Bank (AUB) led the trading activity through the exchange of 21.82 million shares and settled lower by 2.27%.
