Kuwait-Mubasher: The price index of Kuwait’s stock market retreated 0.07% or 3.7 points to settle at 5,619.98 points by this week as compared to 5,623.69 points by the end of the previous week. Meanwhile, the market cap plunged KWD 40 million.
The weighted index fell 0.42% or 0.42 points to close at 380.98 points in the week ended 23 December as compared to 381.4 points in the week ended 17 December.
Meanwhile, the Kuwait-15 index grew 0.04% or 0.36 points to 902.52 points from 902.16 points.
Turnover dropped 43% to KWD 35.41 million from KWD 62.17 million, as trading volume fell by 26.8% to 347.889 million shares from 475.25. Transactions plunged 28% to about 9,920 from nearly 13,790.
Market cap declined 0.15% or KWD 40 million to KWD 26.11 billion from KWD 26.15 billion in the previous week.
