Kuwait – Mubasher: Kuwaiti oil fell $1.17 by the end of trades on Friday, closing at $43.38 per barrel (pb) from $44.55 pb by the end of Thursday, according to data released by the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC).
Globally, oil prices plunged 5% on Friday after the UK voted to leave the European Union (EU), reported Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).
Brent crude futures slid 6% to $48.1 pb, while US crude oil prices retreated 5.5% to $47.2 pb.
The number of US oil and gas rigs declined this week, pressured by falling oil prices, which were in turn impacted by the Brexit vote.
