Kuwait - Mubasher: The price of Kuwaiti oil went down by 83 cents to $40.15 per barrel (pb) on Friday compared to $40.98 pb on the Thursday, Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) said on Saturday.
At the global level, the price of oil declined by 9% due to speculations regarding OPEC members' inability to come to an agreement on limiting production, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported, adding that the increase in US oil reserves also played a role in the decrease.
The Brent Crude price went down by 77 cents to settle at $45.58 p, while the price of the American crude was also down 59 cents to $44.07 pb.
