Kuwaiti oil price drops to $48.68 pb Monday

Mubasher: The price of Kuwaiti oil decreased in Monday’s trading session to $48.68 per barrel (pb), losing 12 cents, as compared to $48.8 pb on Friday, according to the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC).

In international markets, oil prices on Monday recorded their lowest level in a month due to Hurricane Harvey which hit the Texas Gulf region, leading to closing the oil refineries and evacuating the workers in the area.

On another note, the Wall Street Journal reported about Russian-Saudi talks about extending production cuts until June 2018, on the sidelines of a Petersburg meeting in July.
