Kuwaiti oil up 61 cents

Mubasher: The price of Kuwait crude oil went up by 61 cents on Thursday, according to the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC).

Kuwaiti oil price settled at $53.32 per barrel (pb), compared to $52.71 pb on Wednesday, as reported by the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).

Oil prices also rose in international markets on the back of reports of extending the OPEC agreement to cut production.

Brent went up $1.20 to the level of $57 pb while the US crude oil increased by 81 cents to stand at $50.79 pb.
