Mubasher: A Kuwaiti plane loaded with purchased medical supplies landed in Kuwait late on Monday, arriving from China, as part of efforts to help fight the growing spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), according to a statement by the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense.
The flight is also part of the mutual cooperation efforts between the Kuwaiti defence and health ministries to provide the needed medical equipment through the air bridge flights carried out by the air force, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.
Earlier this month, a military carrier delivered more than 170 respirators and a large amount of medical protective gears to help upgrade the national health system. The Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) allocated KWD 5 million ($16.5 million) to purchase the most required supplies.
Yesterday, Kuwait logged 598 more coronavirus cases, seven deaths, and 178 recoveries, taking the count to 9,286 infections, 65 deaths, and 2,907 recoveries.
