Kuwait-Mubasher: Shares in the Kuwaiti market were mixed on Monday morning, as the price index gained 0.13% or 7.5 points to settle at 5,763.62 points at 9:50 am Kuwait local time.
Meanwhile, the weighted index retreated 0.26% or about a point to reach 393.09 points. Also, the Kuwait-15 index dropped 0.63% or 5.9 points to approach 939.82 points.
Today’s session is very important to determine whether the positive performance will remain or not, said technical analyst Nawaf Al-Oun.
In case of a decline, the support level will settle at 5,710 points.
The market’s turnover amounted to KWD 9.12 million, after 63.3 million shares were traded through 1,415 transactions.
Analysts noted that the liquidity pumped in the first hour of trades is considered the largest in six months.
Al Massaleh Real Estate was the top winner with a growth of 7.8%, while Taameer Real Estate Investment advanced by 5.4%, making it the worst loser.
Hits Telecom was the most active stock, as 14.5 million shares were traded through 174 deals, with a value of about KWD 468,100. However, the stock fell by 1.5%.
Viva recorded the highest turnover of KWD 3.9 million, after 3.6 million shares were exchanged via 242 deals. The stock rose 5.8%.
