Cairo – Mubasher: India’s L&T Construction, owned by Larsen & Toubro, announced that it received a request from the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) to establish an electricity sub-station at Ain Sokhna.
The turnkey new gas insulated sub-station’s capacity is 500/220kV, according to the company’s statement.
“This order, secured amidst stiff international competition in consortium with an OEM partner, augurs well for the expanding presence of the business in African continent,” L&T Construction noted.
Last month, the EETC signed three contracts to construct two stations in the west of Cairo and Asyut.
