Abu Dhabi - Mubasher: LEAD Development and Project Management Consultants LLC and The National Investor PJSC (TNI) will build the first sustainable residential community, comprised of villas, apartments, and townhouses, at Masdar City in Abu Dhabi, according to a statement on Tuesday.
The “green” project, which is open to UAE and foreign national investors, will host 5,000 residents over 250,000 square metres when it is completed in 2022. It will consist to 90% of residential property, while 7,800 square metres are dedicated to community amenities, and additional area will be commercially utilised.
“The private sector has a vital role to play in promoting the wider adoption of commercially viable solutions to urban sustainability challenges, and in sharing knowledge and experience across the industry,” CEO of Masdar Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi said.
Masdar City is Abu Dhabi’s flagship sustainable urban development and is an initiative of renewable energy company Masdar.
