Leading sectors back KSE at Tuesday’s close

Kuwait – Mubasher: The main index of Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) ended Tuesday’s trading session up 0.08% or 4.5 points to 5,412.37 points.

Similarly, both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices gained 0.49% and 0.62% respectively on the back of leading sectors.

Meanwhile, the market’s liquidity shrank 30.6% to KWD 7.65 million and trading volume decreased 6% to 75.69 million shares.

The technology sector topped six gainers with a 0.59% rise, followed by the telecom sector which levlled up0.42% on the back of Ooredoo that gained 3.4%.

The health care sector led five decliners with a fall of 0.78%, dragged by Safwan shich lost 2.5%.

Gulf Franchising was the top winner after rising 9.6% to 28.5 fils, while Tahssilat was the top loser with a drop of 8.2% to 28 fils.

Al Salam was the most active stock on which 6.2 million shares were traded through 79 deals. The stock went up 1.01%.

Americana recorded the highest turnover that stood at KWD 1.03 million after nearly 408,500 shares were traded. The stock fell 1.6% to KWD 2.48.
