Cairo – Mubasher: Lecico Egypt announced the closure of its Lecico for Ceramics Sanitary Ware factory in Alexandria for two weeks after two of its workers tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
All staff at the Borg El Arab-based factory were sent home to self-isolate for 14 days in line with the instructions of the Egyptian Ministry of Health, according to a bourse disclosure on Tuesday.
Operations at other sites won’t be disrupted, the company said, noting that Lecico for Ceramics represents about 35% of it sanitary ware output capacity.
“Lecico anticipates minimal disruption demand for products as a result of the pandemic,” the company pointed out.
