Lift Slab to execute EGP 22m projects in New Capital

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Company for Construction Development (Lift Slab) on Monday announced being awarded EGP 22 million ($1.17 million) worth of construction works in Egypt’s New Capital.

The awards are part of the first stage of a project, the company said in a statement to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX), adding that the projects involve the construction of mosques and minarets for mosques.

We have received verbal communication regarding the construction projects, but no official – written – communication, Lift Slab noted.

It added that it will receive the project site soon and will commence construction once contract procedures are completed.

Lift Slab turned profitable in the third quarter of 2016, posting EGP 722,910.

Egypt seeks to complete the construction of the first phase of the New Capital by 2018, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi stated at an earlier time.
