Mubasher: Limak Insaat Kuwait on Monday announced that it completed 25.6% of the new Kuwait International Airport’s terminal by 20 November 2019, according to the construction company’s press release.
Limak said it completed the building of 807 arches of the internal ceiling of the new terminal, 95% of which were affixed until today, Limak’s project director Richard Meredith said.
The company finished 50% of the structural work on the building, with the work progressing at a monthly pace of 1.5%.
The new terminal project is undertaken, with the total costs estimated at KWD 1.312 billion, over 2,192 days as from the beginning of the building operations on 28 August 2016.
The terminal is set to be one of the well-developed, eco-friendly airports in the world, with an initial capacity of 25 million passengers per annum, while it will receive all sorts of aircraft.
