Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Monday’s trading session up on the back of local and Arab investors’ buying.
By 10:22 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index edged up 0.71% to 14,223.41 points.
The EGX70 index added 0.55% to 750.76 points, while the EGX100 index went up 0.34% to 1,812.84 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index inched up 0.29% to 2,480 points.
Trading volume amounted to 31.5 million shares exchanged through 2,700 transactions at a turnover of EGP 93.2 million.
Foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 11.08 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 10.5 million and EGP 494,600, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) slipped 0.29% to EGP 73.25.
