Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Wednesday’s trading session up on the back of local and Arab buying.
By 10:16 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index rose 0.48% or 65.70 points to the level of 13,791.15 points.
The EGX70 index edged up 0.27% to 752.81 points, while the EGX100 index added 0.75% to 1,720.65 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index levelled up 0.35% to 2,400 points.
Trading volume reached 11 million shares exchanged through 1,440 transactions at a turnover of EGP 56.29 million.
Foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 54.19 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 51.9 million and EGP 2.28 million, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) increased 0.44% to EGP 73.62.
