Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Wednesday’s trading session in green territory on the back of local and Arab buying.
The benchmark EGX30 index edged up 0.58%, finishing the session at 15,670.18 points.
Market capitalisation gained EGP 3.6 billion and closed at EGP 877.2 billion.
The small- and mid-cap EGX70 index added 0.44% to 747.78 points, while the broader EGX100 index went up 0.4% to 1,937.86 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index levelled up 0.67% to 2,601.34 points.
Trading volume amounted to EGP 162.3 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 754.7 million through 19,200 transactions.
Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 15.1 million and EGP 17.9 million, respectively, while foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 33 million
