Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) saw a positive performance early Monday on the back of Egyptian and foreign buying.
By 10:40 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index rose 0.63% or 88.83 points to the level of 14,086.46 points.
The EGX70 index inched up 0.25% to 813.83 points, while the EGX100 index grew 0.26% to 1,811.93 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index gained 1.24% to 2,421 points.
Trading volume reached 144.16 million shares exchanged through 9,200 transactions at a turnover of EGP 353.6 million.
Egyptian and foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 7.06 million and EGP 1.8 million, respectively, while Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 8.9 million.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank – Egypt (CIB) shed 0.10% to EGP 79.45, with a turnover of EGP 12.3 million.
