Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) started Tuesday’s trading session up on the back of Egyptian buying.
By 10:26 Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index edged up 34.32 points, or 0.27%, to 13,714.68 points.
The small- and mid-cap EGX70 index levelled up 0.8% to 702.33 points, whereas the broader EGX100 inched up 0.08% to 1,757.73 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index added 0.42% to 2,213 points.
Trading volume amounted to 29.9 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 104.7 million through 2,900 transactions.
Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 10.2 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 9.2 million and EGP 973,070, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) shed 0.64% to EGP 80.5, with a turnover of EGP 473,600.
