Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Tuesday’s trading session up on the back of Egyptian buying.
By 10:22 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index advanced 0.29%, or 43.45 points, to 14,764.9 points.
The EGX70 index added 0.47% to 839.61 points and the EGX100 index gained 0.38% to 1,962.99 points.
The Equal-weighted EGX50 index went up 0.28% to 2,605 points.
Meanwhile, trading volume reached 13 million shares exchanged through 2,600 transactions at a turnover of EGP 86.9 million.
Egyptian traders were net buyers with EGP 11.3 million, while foreign and Arab traders were net sellers with EGP 8.3 million and EGP 2.9 million, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) inched up 0.01% to EGP 73 with a turnover of EGP 2.9 million.
