Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Tuesday’s trading session in green territory on the back of local buying.
By 10:30 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index edged up 60.39 points, or 0.36%, to 17,044 points.
The EGX70 index added 0.81% to 854.8 points, and the EGX100 index levelled up 0.68% to 2,201 points.
Likewise, the equal-weighted EGX50 index went up 0.55% to 2,915 points.
Trading volume stood at nearly 20.4 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 129.9 million through 3,120 transactions.
Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 14.66 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 6.07 million and EGP 8.5 million, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) dipped 0.02% to EGP 87.94, with a turnover of EGP 96,600.
