Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Thursday’s trading session in green territory on the back of local buying.
By 10:20 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index went up 18.20 points, or 0.10%, to 17,526 points.
Likewise, the small-and medium-cap EGX70 index added 0.34% to 871.16 points, while the broader EGX100 index edged up 0.12% to 2,254 points.
Meanwhile, the equal-weighted EGX50 index dipped 0.15% to 2,989 points.
Trading volume reached nearly 24.04 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 108.9 million through 2,500 transactions.
Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 5.13 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 1.5 million and EGP 3.5 million, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) edged up 0.05% to EGP 87.5, with a turnover of EGP 91,800.
