Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) started Sunday’s trading session in green territory on the back of local purchases.
By 10:20 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index added 39.37 points, or 0.28%, to 14,166 points.
The small- and mid-cap EGX70 index levelled up 0.31% to 685.9 points, while the broader EGX100 index edged up 0.32% to 1,728 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index 0.56% to 2,299 points.
Meanwhile, trading volume amounted to 86.72 million shares exchanged through 2,900 transactions at a turnover of EGP 106.05 million.
Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 2.22 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 2.2 million and 20,800, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) jumped 1.11% to EGP 83.96, with a turnover of 27,030.
