Riyadh – Mubasher: The Middle East Propulsion Company (MEPC) and GE Aviation on Monday signed a joint collaboration agreement to build T700-701D, T700-701C, and T700-701A engine maintenance, repair, overhaul (MRO) services for aircraft in Saudi Arabia.
The agreement includes a cooperation between GE Aviation and MEPC to develop a T700 depot level maintenance facility in the Kingdom.
Under the deal, MEPC will utilise its “new in-house piece part repair capability to establish a comprehensive one stop support shop,” according to the statement.
MEPC will be the first firm to be a depot level supplier of MRO services in support of T700 engines in Saudi Arabia.
GE Aviation and MEPC will help the Kingdom achieve its military aerospace self-dependency requirements in line with the Saudi Vision 2030.
