MNHD awards EGP 5.4bn contracts for Sarai, Taj City

Cairo – Mubasher:  Madinet Nasr Housing and Development (MNHD) has awarded EGP 5.37 billion contracts in Sarai and Taj City projects in New Cairo, the company’s managing director Ahmed El Hitamy stated.

The contracts include EGP 3.27 billion works in Sarai project and EGP 2.1 billion in Taj City project, El Hitamy added, noting that Shaker Consultancy Group is supervising both projects.

The top official revealed that his company awarded a contract for the supervision of two neighbourhoods to Engineering Consultants Group, along with an EGP 2.4 billion construction contract awarded to Gama Construction, and EGP 430 million contract for the infrastructure of the two neighbourhoods.

The contracted works are planned to be completed within the next 18 months, El Hitamy said.

As for Taj City, the managing director revealed that MNHD awarded a construction consortium an EGP 1.25 billion contract for the construction works of the project.

The developer also granted EGP 250 million contract for the utilities of the project to Medcom, in addition to EGP 600 million contract for undergrounding of high-tension electricity lines, he announced.
