Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Ministry of Planning, Monitoring and Administrative Reform’s (MPMAR) plan for fiscal year 2017/2018 aims at establishing projects in El-Alamein with investment worth EGP 393 million.
This plan targets the completion of New El-Alamein City’s infrastructure, particularly roads and communication projects, the Ministry added in a statement on Sunday.
The new city would house a population of around 3 million to 4 million people, and will include an industrial zone, universities, and touristic establishments such as hotels.
On 11 September 2017, Egypt’s housing minister Mostafa Madbouli said that the government will start implementing 15 towers and finalising 1,920 residential units in New El-Alamein City by October at a cost of EGP 300 million.
