Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market (MSM) closed Sunday in the green territory, as the benchmark index, MSM 30, rose 0.31% or 16.63 points to 5,435.96 points.
Meanwhile, the Sharia Index plummeted 0.06% to 862.73 points.
Trading volume came to around 48.45 million shares worth about OMR 13.17 million through 510 trades.
The services and financial sectors leapt by 0.27% and 0.15% respectively, while the industrial sector fell alone by 0.06%.
Out of 44 companies, 12 shares closed higher, eight others declined, and 24 were flat.
National Pharmaceutical Industries topped the risers with 10% higher, while Majan Glass recorded the deepest loss with 5.24%.
MSM 30 closed Thursday at the level of 5,419.32 points after moving up 0.02% or 1.31 point.
