MSM 30 closes 0.06% higher

Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market (MSM) closed Thursday’s session in green as the benchmark MSM 30 grew 0.06% or 3.62 points to 5,942.72 points.

The Shariah index also advanced 0.08% or 0.70 point to the level of 880.60 points.

Trading volume rose to 24.4 million shares from 24.4 million shares exchanged yesterday.

Turnover also increased to OMR 7.38 million from OMR 4.76 million on Wednesday.

The industrial and financial sectors levelled up 0.47% and 0.15% respectively, while the services declined by 0.3%.

Al Madina Investment was the best performer with a growth of 3.23%, whereas Gulf Investment Services Holding topped losers by falling 3.08%.

Galfar Engineering was the largest-traded stock with a volume of 11.56 million shares, while Renaissance Services made the highest liquidity with OMR 1.98 million.

MSM 30 dropped yesterday by 0.36% to 5,939.1 points, ending a six-day gaining streak.
