Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market ended Wednesday’s session in green as its benchmark MSM 30 index rose by 0.17% or 9.33 points to the level of 5,592.88 points.
Trading volume decreased to 9.48 million shares from 20.84 million shares exchanged on Tuesday, turnover also shrank to OMR 2.25 million from OMR 4.05 million.
The financial sector grew 0.46% as Bank Sohar increased 3.5%, the stock made the biggest trading volume activity of 1.45 million shares. However, Ominvest led the red list with a fall of 3.46%, the stock made the highest turnover of OMR 350,940.
The services sector leapt 0.31% as Oman Investment and Finance topped gainers with a growth of 4.57%.
On the flipside, the industrial sector declined 0.07% due to the drop in Oman Cement and Raysut Cement by 1.77% and 1.33% respectively.
