Mubasher: Oman’s MSM 30 index ended Thursday’s session rising by 0.20% or 11.2 points to the level of 5,667.58 points.
Trading volume increased to 19.45 million shares from 10.24 million shares exchanged on Wednesday, turnover also rose to OMR 5 million from OMR 2.1 million.
The services sector grew 0.29%, backed by an increase of 9.96% in Port Services Corp, the best performing stock. While Al Jazeera Steel Products, down 4%, topped losers.
The financial sector advanced 0.09% as Bank Dhofar and Bank Sohar rose by 1.78% and 0.63% respectively. Bank Muscat made the highest turnover of OMR 965,700.
On the other hand, the industrial sector dropped 0.08% due to a fall of 1.96% and 1.67% in Galfar Engineering and Al Hassan Engineering respectively.
