Mubasher: The MSM 30 index of the Muscat Securities Market rose at Wednesday’s close by 0.23% or 13.23 points to the level of 5,728.1 points.
Trading volume decreased to 11.02 million shares from 14.14 million shares exchanged on Tuesday, turnover also declined to OMR 2.68 million from OMR 3.62 million.
The financial sector advanced 0.65%, backed by a rise of 4.32% in Ahli Bank, the best performing stock, and 0.87% in HSBC Oman.
Bank Muscat made the highest activity with a volume of 1.79 million shares and a turnover of OMR 799,450.
On the other hand, the industrial and services sectors fell 0.26% and 0.01% respectively.
Oman Fisheries topped the red list after falling by 3.23%.
