Mubasher: The benchmark MSM 30 of the Muscat Securities Market (MSM) ended Thursday’s trading falling 0.03% or 1.67 points to the level of 5,886.06 points.
Trading volume reached 21.96 million shares exchanged at OMR 4.49 million, compared to OMR 6.1 million reached on Wednesday.
The industrial and financial sectors grew 0.59% and 0.15% respectively, while the services sector shrank 0.08%.
Al Sharqiya Investment Holding and Oman United Insurance topped gainers by adding 5.80% and 3.60% respectively.
On the other hand, Sohar Power, Bank Dhofar and HSBC Oman was the worst performers after falling by 4.40%, 2.44% and 1.90% respectively.
Galfar Engineering was the most active stock as 5.11 shares were exchanged at OMR 592,000.
The index rose on Wednesday by 0.76% or 44.4 points to the level of 5,887.7 points.
