Mubasher: The MSM 30 index of the Muscat Securities Market ended Thursday’s trading with a decrease of 0.15% or 8.83 points to the level of 5,728.65 points.
Trading volume increased to 12.7 million shares from 9.81 million shares exchanged on Wednesday, turnover also rose to OMR 2.67 million from OMR 2.32 million.
The financial sector dropped 0.36% as Al Madina Takaful and Bank Muscat declined by 1.39% and 0.45%, the latter made the highest turnover of OMR 581,800, while Al Izz Bank was the largest-traded stock with a volume of 1.9 million shares.
The industrial and services sectors retreated 0.41% and 0.09% respectively.
Ooredoo Oman topped gainers by adding 1.20%, 17 stocks closed in red and 13 others remained flat.
