Mubasher: The MSM 30 index of the Muscat Securities Market declined at Sunday’s close by 0.04% or 2.17 points to the level of 5,519.12 points.
Trading volume decreased to 5.33 million shares from 11.4 million shares exchanged on Tuesday, turnover also shrank to OMR 1.19 million from OMR 2.57 million.
The services sector dropped 0.14% as Oman National Engineering and Investment, down 4.37%, topped the red list, and Al Batinah Power slid 2.56%.
The financial sector fell 0.07% as Al Batinah Development and Investment Holding and Al Izz Bank retreated 3.37% and 2.9% respectively.
On the other hand, the industrial sector grew by 0.03% as Voltamp Energy rose 1.33%, the best performing stock, and Raysut Cement added 0.33%.
Ooredoo Oman made the highest turnover of OMR 178,380, while HSBC Oman was the largest-traded stock with a volume of 750,000 shares.
