Mubasher: The MSM 30 index of the Muscat Securities Market closed Thursday’s session falling by 0.24% or 14 points to the level of 5,750.96 points.
Trading volume decreased to 24.22 million shares from 26.22 million shares exchanged on Wednesday, turnover also shrank to OMR 4.68 million from OMR 5.06 million.
Al Madina Takaful was the most active stock in terms of trading volume with 5.23 million shares, while Omantel made the highest turnover of OMR 1.14 million.
The financial sector declined 0.7% due to a fall of 2.08% in Omantel, the industrial sector retreated 0.11% as Oman Fisheries dropped 1.9%.
Meanwhile, the services sector rose 0.06%, backed by an increase of 0.65% in Ooredoo Oman and 0.53% in Al Suwadi Power.
Takaful Oman topped the red list after falling 6.11%, whereas National Finance headed gainers after adding 9.15%.
