Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market (MSM) closed Thursday’s trading in green as the benchmark MSM 30 advanced 29.52 points or 0.52% to 5,760.48 points, the 11th rise in a row.
The Shariah index also leapt by 0.51% to the level of 866.89 points.
Trading volume reached 28.92 million shares exchanged at OMR 5.33 million through 1,184 trades.
The services and industrial sectors grew 0.87% and 0.1% respectively, while the financial declined 0.31%.
Takaful Oman Insurance was the best performing stock after adding 9.09%, whereas Al Madina Investment topped losers after falling 8.33%.
Galfar Engineering was the largest-traded stock with a volume of 6.17 million shares, while Bank Sohar made the highest liquidity with OMR 630,500.
MSM 30 rose yesterday by 0.04% or 2.24 points to the level of 5,730.97 points.
