Mubasher: The main index of Muscat Securities Market (MSM) extended its rises for the fifth day in a row.
The benchmark MSM 30 grew 0.58% or 34.25 points to 5,926.14 points, the highest level since 4 November 2015.
Trading volume decreased 0.5% to 51.75 million shares, and turnover decreased 9.2% to OMR 9.71 million from OMR 10.69 million on Sunday.
The index was backed by the surge in the financial sector by 1.12% as HSBC Oman grew 9.26%.
Galfar Engineering was the most active stock witl a trading volume of 14.85 million and a turnover of OMR 1.75 million.
MSM 30 closed yesterday’s session with a rise of 74.68 points to 5,891.89 points.
