Mubasher: The MSM 30 index of the Muscat Securities Market closed Monday’s trading with a decline of 0.21% or 12 points to the level of 5,751.38 points.
The index was pressured by the fall in most of blue chips as Oman and Emirates Investment shrank 4.08%, HSBC Oman dropped 2.4% and Galfar Engineering fell 1.16%.
Trading volume increased to 16.11 million shares from 7.86 million shares exchanged on Sunday, turnover also rose to OMR 3.24 million from OMR 1.66 million.
The financial, industrial and services sectors fell collectively by 0.44%, 0.21% and 0.16% respectively.
Oman United Insurance topped gainers after rising 1.1%, while Construction Material Industry led decliners after falling 5.26%.
