Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market (MSM) ended Sunday’s session on a positive note, as the benchmark MSM 30 advanced 0.42% or 22.45 points to 5,349.12 points.
The Shariah index also rose 0.29% or 2.41 points to the level of 836.98 points.
Trading volume reached 12.16 million through 690 transactions worth OMR 2.98 million ($7.73 million).
The financial, industrial and services sectors leapt 0.78%, 0.34% and 0.09% respectively.
Al Madina Investment topped gainers by adding 5.08%, while Oman Textile was the worst performer after falling 7.93%.
Phoenix Power made the biggest trading volume activity with 1.64 million traded shares, while Omantel was the most active share in terms of trading value with a liquidity of OMR 637,770 ($1.65 million).
MSM 30 closed Thursday at the level of 5,326.67 points after rising 0.35% or 18.57 points.
