MSM 30 gains 18 points in early trading

Mubasher: The benchmark index of Muscat Securities Market (MSM), MSM 30, kicked off Wednesday session on a stronger note as it rose 0.33% or 17.71 points to the level of 5,447.06 points.

Trading value came to OMR 1.14 million through 319 trades on 5.5 million shares.

MSM’s sectors moved up collectively, led by banks which increased 0.53%, followed by the industrial and services sectors as they gained 0.35% and 0.19%, respectively.

Twenty five shares saw trading early today, where 13 were risers, three others declined and the 19 remaining stood at the same rates.

Oman Investments was the strongest share with a growth of 5%, while National Detergent was the weakest with a fall of 9.14%.

MSM 30 declined yesterday by 0.10% or 5.39 points to 5,429.36 points.
