Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market ended Monday’s trading in green, as the benchmark MSM 30 rose 0.51% or 27.23 points to 5,376.35 points.
The Shariah index also leapt 0.16% or 1.33 points to the level of 838.31 points.
Trading volume reached 14.94 million shares exchanged at OMR 3.94 million ($10.23 million) through 824 transactions.
The services and financial sectors advanced 0.91% and 0.43%, while the industrial sector dropped 0.22%.
Oman Textile was the best performing share as it added 7.28%, while Gulf Investment Services Holding was the worst after falling 3.16%.
Muscat Bank was the most active share with a trading volume of 3.01 million shares and turnover of OMR 1.1 million ($2.85 million).
The benchmark MSM 30 closed yesterday with a rise of 0.12% or 6.6 points to 5,333.27 points.
