Mubasher: The M#M 30 index of the Muscat Securities Market ended Tuesday’s session rising by 0.63% or 36.05 points to the level of 5,732.37 points.
Trading volume increased to 17.35 million shares from 14.17 million shares exchanged on Sunday, turnover also rose to OMR 5.09 million from OMR 2.61 million.
The index was backed by the rise in Ooredoo Oman and HSBC Oman by 2.5% and 1.75% respectively.
The financial sector levelled up 0.67% as Bank Dhofar leapt 1.31%, Bank Sohar advanced 1.23% and Bank Muscat increased 0.91%. Oman ORIX Leasing, however, led the red list after falling by 3.1%.
The services sector rose 0.31%, backed by an increase of 1.52% in Al Jazeira Services and 0.48% in Oman Investment and Finance. The industrial sector grew 0.09%.
Bank Muscat was the largest-traded stock as 4.76 million shares were exchange at OMR 2.12 million.
