Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market (MSM) closed Tuesday session in green, as the benchmark MSM 30 rose 1% or 53.76 points to 5,430.11 points.
Meanwhile, the Shariah index declined 0.1% or 0.84 point to the level of 837.48 points.
Trading volume reached 35.73 million shares exchanged through 1,610 trades. Turnover came to OMR 8.21 million ($21.32 million).
The financial and services sectors increased 1.61% and 0.57% respectively, while the industrial fell alone by 0.81%.
Muscat Bank was the best performing share with a rise of 5.53%, while Al Maha Ceramics was the worst after falling 9.5%.
Muscat Bank was the most active share with a trading volume of 4.11 million shares exchanged at OMR 1.6 million ($4.15 million).
MSM 30 rose yesterday by 0.51% or 27.23 points to 5,376.35 points.
