Mubasher: The MSM 30 index of Muscat Securities Market (MSM) hit today that highest level since 16 November 2015 after closing with a rise of 1.35% or 77.7 points to 5,817.21 points.
The Shariah index also grew 0.77% or 6.62 points to the level of 869.97 points.
Trading volume increased 84.28% to 55.7 million shares from 30.32 million shares exchanged yesterday.
Turnover also rose 57.93% to OMR 9.14 million, versus OMR 5.79 million on Wednesday.
The financial, industrial and services sectors advanced collectively by 1.76%, 1.12% and 1.15% respectively.
Bank Sohar was the best performing share after adding 7.02%, while Ahli Bank topped losers after falling 1.15%.
Galfar Engineering was the most active stock with a trading volume of 15.92 million shares exchanged at OMR 1.68 million.
MSM 30 rose yesterday by 0.53%or 30.43 points to 5,739.47 points.
