Mubasher: Muscat Securities Market’s (MSM) main index, MSM 30, closed in red for the third consecutive day on Tuesday after closing with a fall of 1.24% or about 68.7 points to 5,468.5 points.
Sharia Index also plummeted by 0.39% to 868.66 points.
Trading volume closed at 12.45 million shares worth OMR 3.11 million reached through 611 trades.
MSM’s sectors moved down collectively, led by the financial indicator with 1.54%, followed by the services and industrial sectors with 0.44% and 0.01%.
Out of 41 shares traded, two closed higher, 21 others ended trading down, and the remaining 18 steadied.
Al Jazeera Steel Products Company was the top gainer with a 4.07% increase, while Port Services Corporation headed the losers with a fall of 8.22%.
Al Jazeera Steel recorded the biggest trading volume with about 2.73 million shares traded, while Muscat Bank led in value after generating around OMR 1.07 million.
MSM 30 closed yesterday with a decrease of 0.09% or 4.78 points to 5,537.2 points.
