Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market (MSM) closed Monday in the green zone, as the benchmark MSM 30 rose 0.54% or 31.89 points to the level of 5,983.99 points, the highest level since late August 2015.
The Shariah index also grew 0.18% to the level of 883.66 points.
Trading volume rose to 47.21 million shares from 23.38 million shares exchanged yesterday.
Turnover reached OMR 13.99 million, compared to OMR 10.97 million on Monday.
Al Sharqiya Investment Holdings topped gainers by adding 10%, while Al Anwar Ceramic Tiles led decliners after falling 3.70%.
Ominvest made the highest liquidity with OMR 4.46 million, while Galfar Engineering was the most traded stock with a volume of 9.71 million shares.
MSM 30 rose yesterday by 0.07% or 4.04 points to 5,952.1 points.
