Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market (MSM) opened Thursday in red, as the main index, MSM 30, edged down 0.18% or 8.68 points to 4,881.91 points.
Trading volume reached 1.25 million shares worth OMR 272,730 after 119 trades were closed.
The financial and services sectors shrank by 0.25% and 0.14% respectively, while the industrial sector was flat.
Oman United Insurance was the top gainer by adding 1.86%, whereas Port Services Corp led decliners with a decline of 4.17%.
MSM 30 dropped yesterday 1.83% or 91 points to 4,890.65 points
