Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market (MSM) opened Sunday on a positive note, as the benchmark MSM 30 edged up 0.10% or 5.5 points to the level of 5,424.8 points in mid-trading.
Trading volume reached 4.9 million shares exchanged through 253 trades worth OMR 821,000.
The financial, industrial and services sectors rose 0.42%, 0.20% and 0.07% respectively.
Seven shares traded in green early against three in red while 11 stayed flat.
Oman United Insurance was the best performing share after adding 8.6%, while Alizz Islamic Bank topped losers after dropping 1.6%.
MSM 30 grew 1.09% on Thursday, reaching the highest level since a month and a half.
